Employee Self-Service

Employee Self-Service allows you to access much of the data that is maintained about you in EIS (Enterprise Information System). Not all information can be viewed or updated online in EIS, therefore, some changes to your information will continue to be made by contacting your department or Human Resources.

The great advantage of the Self-Service feature is that you can see what needs to be updated because you have direct access to view your biographic and demographic data, paycheck data, benefits data, etc. The data is available to you at all times except for scheduled EIS maintenance times. Employee Self-Sevice is only available through MyUNT.

MyUNT - The UNT Portal

MyUNT is a University of North Texas portal designed to provide a central web location where UNT community members can access the Enterprise Information System (EIS) and other available online services using a single login. You can view university news, events, information resources and your Human Resources information and services.

Most employee information and services is located on the Employee tab.  Clicking on Human Resources in the Enterprise Menu (located in the left column of the MyUNT login page) will also give a list of specific EIS pages for employees. The Employee tab is automatically setup when the hire paperwork is processed for the employee.

An EUID (Enterprise User ID) is required to log onto the UNT Portal.

Enterprise User ID (EUID)

Every employee is assigned an Enterprise User ID (EUID) which is created when their hire paperwork is entered. EUIDs are also assigned to students, student applicants and any other person with a need to access any of the UNT online systems. If an EUID has already been assigned for any other reason, the same EUID is used for Employee Self-Service.

Before the EUID can be used it must be activated in the Account Management System (ams.unt.edu). After responding to the questions asked, your EUID will be displayed and you will be given an opportunity to set your password. Once your password is set you will be able to access Employee Self-Service.

Employee Information Available

The following personal information can both be viewed and/or updated:

  • All names can be viewed, Preferred Name can be updated
  • All addresses can be viewed and updated, including office location as UNTS Work
  • All phone numbers can be viewed and updated
  • All email addresses can be viewed and updated
  • All emergency contacts can be viewed and updated
  • Some demographic data can be viewed under Personal Information, but must be updated by contacting Human Resources

The following information can be only be viewed:

  • Enrollment in Benefits such as Medical, Dental, Life, Disability and Accidental Death insurance
  • Enrollment in Leave plans such as Vacation, Sick, Floating Holiday and Sick Leave Pool
  • Current balance in each leave plan and compensatory time plan
  • Enrollment in Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Enrollment in Retirement and Savings Plans
  • Paycheck History
  • Current W-4, Federal Income Tax Withholding settings
  • Current Paycheck direct deposit settings
  • Job History (Title and Department)
  • Salary History
  • Summary of Training Courses completed (both Internal and Professional, if entered)

The following information is not available via Employee Self-Service:

  • Paycheck history prior to the January 2, 2004, pay day
  • All job and salary history prior to September 1, 2003 (start of EIS)
  • Educational Background
  • Employee Information Release Indicators
